If you are part of the KU Selection Committee, you will be able to follow steps below in case the KU Select collection is open for review. In this example we use the KU Select 2019 collections:

Step 1. Click on the collection

Click on the collection to see all the titles that have been submitted. If you did not select a particular subject in a collection as your field of expertise, you can of course ignore this collection.

Note: there are two separate collections for the frontlist and the backlist, so if you signed up to review the HSS subjects, you will have to go into both the ''KU Select 2019: HSS Frontlist Books'' and the ''KU Select 2019 HSS Backlist Books'' collections. If you wish to select subjects from both HSS and STEM, this means looking at four collections - both HSS & STEM have a frontlist and backlist collection each.

Step 2. Select your subject areas

Once you have clicked on the relevant collection, you will enter the screen where you can review all the titles that have been submitted. Note that you can click on the dropdown menu on the top right to filter by the primary subjects. You can select the subjects you wish to review, and the list of titles will automatically update in your selection.

Step 3. Review titles

You now have your list of titles based on the primary subjects selected and can start reviewing the titles. Just click on each title to see its metadata and click on either "Vote For" or "Vote Against".

Note that you can always go back to the title and "Undo your Vote" if you change your mind.

Step 4. Number of accept votes

You will see at the top right of the screen the number of accept votes you have left. You can choose to ignore this message and simply go through your selected subject areas. Most likely there will be accept votes left, which is fine to leave as it is. Of course, if you wish to have a look at titles in other subject areas and cast your votes you can still do that if you have accept votes left over.

We hope this step-by-step guide is of use to you. If you have any questions regarding the selection process, you can always get in touch with us directly using the 'chat' option (bottom right of the screen).
