In October 2015 the launch of a second collection of 78 new Humanities and Social Sciences books was announced. There were eight packages (six subject-specific and two publisher-specific) covering topics in the Humanities (Anthropology, Literature, History) and Social Sciences (Politics, Media & Communications).

26 respected scholarly publishers participated including the following university presses: Amsterdam, Brandeis, Dartmouth, Cambridge, Colorado, Duke, Edinburgh, Fordham, Leiden, Liverpool, Manchester, Michigan, Monash, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Temple, Toronto and Yale, plus Berghahn Books, Bloomsbury Academic, Brill, De Gruyter, Pluto Press, Routledge and Ubiquity Press.

Around 300 libraries plus consortia pledged their support and the entire collection was successfully unlatched throughout 2016 and early 2017.
